Shri P.Nachimuthu Gounder, a great visionary was an embodiment of hard work, sincerity, truthfulness and perseverance. He desired to impart technical education and training to the youth of Pollachi region. Due to his untimely demise, his illustrious son Dr. N. Mahalingam, made his father's dream come true by establishing Nachimuthu Polytechnic College in the year 1957 under Nachimuthu Industrial Association (NIA). At present, NIA Educational Institutions consisting of 3 Higher Education Institutions (Nachimuthu Polytechnic College (NPTC), Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) and Vanavarayar Institute of Agriculture (VIA)), 6 Schools and wellness clinic, spread across 4 campuses in Pollachi. A legacy of over 9 decades, NIA Institution is part of Sakthi group. It serves the society with best education imparting values, principles, and discipline to groom the youth of the community to achieve their dreams.
